The Bangor Wine & Oyster Shed is a beautiful building with a wonderful view, sitting beside Bangor's vineyard overlooking Norfolk and Blackman Bays in Dunalley, Tasmania. Open 10am - 5pm daily, it is the perfect place to stop for lunch, a picnic on our lawns, for wine tastings or to eat oysters fresh from the sea.

Join us for an evening of country food, fine wine and music to celebrate the end of winter. Three sumptuous courses and a glass of mulled wine on arrival. Get a group of friends together and come along to our long-table dinner.

Saturday 26th August, 6pm. $80 pp.

Arrive in style with Coal River Coaches. Departs The Hotel Grand Chancellor 5pm. Departs Bangor 10:30pm. $30pp return.

As a special end of winter treat, the 2016 Captain Spotswood Pinot Noir will be available on the night for a pre-release sneak peek!

The Koonya Garlic Festival is a uniquely original Tasmanian food experience that celebrates the joy of garlic, the food it flavours and the music and arts that it inspires!  There is something very special about a harvest festival and the South East region of Tasmania with its exceptional natural beauty and rich farming and colonial history, provides the perfect backdrop for a garlic harvest celebration. The Koonya Garlic Festival was held at the Koonya Hall & Grounds on Saturday the 25th February 2017. To celebrate the festival the Bangor Wine & Oyster Shed held a Garlic Feast the evening before. Our chef Bronwyn Strange's interesting and delicious menu was a sensation, with calls throughout the night to make this an annual event.

On a public holiday there is no where better to be that at Bangor Shed, sitting on our lawns listening to music, sipping our award winning wines and enjoying a big plate of seafood! Australia Day 2017 was no exception except this time we added helicopter rides which were a huge hit - the pilots flew all day as excited families and couples lined up to see the amazing water waters around the Shed from the air. It's our second birthday, and we invite you all to come and celebrate with us. Watch the sun set over Dunalley and Norfolk Bay as you listen to fabulous music and be be one of the first to taste our new 2014 Abel Tasman Pinot Noir. With slow cooked pork and Bangor lamb, freshly shucked oysters and pop up dessert stalls, there is something delicious for everyone.

Mother's Day 2016 was celebrated at Bangor Shed with High Tea. With scones, finger sandwiches, delicious quiches and gorgeous desserts it was a fabulous day, all topped off with our Bangor Sparkling.

Bookings for High Tea are bookings for the whole table, however our daily menu is available for tables who have not booked for High Tea. Children on tables booked for High Tea can chose for our children's menu if they wish! For those who do not wish to drink Sparkling, they can have a glass of our Pinot Gris or Captain Spotswood Pinot Noir, or select from our range of soft drinks. Bookings Essential, we will book out fast!

December 28th - Bangor Lamb chop Barbecue

Join us for a picnic on our lawns. Bangor lamb chops will be cooked on the barbie and our daily menu will also be available. Freshly shucked oysters, cheese platters, music, friends, there is no better way to spend a Tasmanian summer's day. SMOLT COMES TO BANGOR- Saturday June 13, 2015

On Saturday the 13th of June we had a wonderful dinner with Smolt restaurant at the Shed. The team from Smolt took over our kitchen (and our lawn, with a whole Bangor lamb cooking over coals under the stars). The evening celebrated the friendship between the two businesses, and we raised a glass to the future and many dinners, functions and parties that we will co-host at the Shed in years to come.
